We are continuing to receive advice from all relevant departments and organisations, and at the moment due to the processes we have enforced we are in a position to continue to keep our Golf Course open for members to enjoy exercise golf.
As you will read in the attached bulletins we have done all we can to ensure we are able to continue this to happen but we are really reliant on you to do the right thing to keep it going.

Please read our last two bulletins to keep you up to date and remember to stay safe and stay compliant.

Important Notice

Due to recent announcements from Government and the State Premier, we have made the decision to completely shut down all services from our Spike Bar and put all our attention into promoting playing golf as a form of exercise.
During these times our Pro Shop will be fully stocked with a wide range of refreshments.
We are currently looking at ways that we can continue to offer golf as a possible mental and physical relief during these current challenging times for people, all whilst we are staying compliant and putting peoples safety first.
* Note
– We have already implemented the ruling of no more than 2 people per playing group to comply with the new social gathering guidelines.
– Our driving range is closed.
– All golf is for exercise purposes only

We will continue to keep you updated on other changes as they happen.

Stay safe and remember to use golf as a form of exercise and mental distraction.

Trading Hours

Due to the current restrictions placed on us regarding trading, please see our new trading hours.

We thank you for your understanding during this period

Important Memo

13th March 2020

Dear members and visitors of Tasmania Golf Club

I am sure by now that you will all be aware of the growing impact of COVID-19 (commonly referred to as coronavirus) in Tasmania.

The health and safety of all that use the facilities at Tasmania Golf Club is foremost in our mind. While we do not intend to be alarmists, we consider it important to have an appropriate strategy to manage this issue and minimize the risks.

The social nature of our sport and the bar and restaurant areas mean that it is incumbent on us all to act carefully and responsibly.

If you have:

  • flu like symptoms (fever, cough, breathing difficulties including breathlessness, sore throat, fatigue or tiredness);
  • been in the presence of any person that has or may have coronavirus or has displayed flu like symptoms;
  • travelled to a country, state or territory significantly affected by coronavirus in past 14 days; or
  • been in close contact with someone who has travelled to a country significantly affected by coronavirus in the past 14 days.

As another form of precaution we encourage everyone to practice good hygiene, including washing hands regularly and for at least 20 seconds and using hand sanitizer (please note that Tasmania Golf Club will endeavor to supply this where possible but due to the recent issue of supply shortage we may rely on customers providing their own).

It is also advisable to avoid close personal contact.

We are very keen to minimize the risks for members, visitors and guests of the Club and request that if you are concerned about being unwell and showing any of the symptoms referred to above after being at the Club, please notify us on 62485098 as a priority.

For more information on COVID-19 (Coronavirus), please refer to the following link: https://www.health.gov.au/

Yours sincerely,

On behalf of Board and Management

John Milbourne
