ON COURSE REPORT & WEATHER
Following one of Tasmania's wettest winters on record, we have experienced an outstanding summer season and the course has benefitted immensely.
The current state of the golf course is regarded as very good to excellent.
Greens are excellent and rate 9/10.
Tee beds are very good to excellent. Tee positions are rotated twice weekly with up to 4 separate tees (black, white, yellow and red) in use to protect the tee beds from wear and tear. Overall rating 8.5/10.
Fairways are generally extremely good. The 12th, 13th and 14th holes have recently been renovated but are now back to a very good state in the vast majority of areas. Those small areas still under repair are subject to preferred lies with placement within 1 club length permitted. Overall rating is 8/10.
Bunkers are very good to excellent. Visitors should note that bunkers at Tasmania Golf Club are designed to be firm, demanding high levels of skill to exit. Overall rating 8/10.
Roughs are as expected for the summer with strong, thick growth evident. Overall rating 8/10.
